Rapids done in by controversial late penalty

In a hotly contested game, featuring many cards, Omar Cummings scored the Rapids’ goal that tied the game before the 87th minute judgment of a hand ball in the penalty area led to the Colorado loss.
“I’m not going to complain about the referees,” said Rapids coach Fernando Clavijo, before doing something resembling exactly that. “I thought there were two teams that fought extremely hard, and the outcome should be decided by the two teams and I don’t believe that was the case today.”
